We rank sources by reliability and weight them accordingly:
- Tier 1 — Wire services & established outlets: Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, The Verge, Ars Technica, TechCrunch.
- Tier 2 — Trade & technical publications: The Information, VentureBeat, MIT Technology Review.
- Tier 3 — Primary sources: Company filings, official statements, academic papers, regulatory documents.
Verification checklist
Before publication, every story passes through this checklist:
- Is the claim attributable to a named source?
- Do two independent sources confirm the core facts?
- Have we distinguished fact from allegation?
- Are figures, dates, and names accurate?
- Have we linked to the original reporting?
